David has been in the trenches with companies, strengthening their cyber and resilience capabilities, since 2007. Today, he leads an expert group he put together from scratch: the Baringa Cyber and Resilience team. They’re the specialists who help our clients get to grips with every aspect of security — from delivering regulatory change to building cyber crisis management capability. David built the team on a shared ethos: the idea that cyber and resilience should be aligned to business strategy. Its role should not just be to protect the business today, but to ensure long-term value.

David builds close and lasting relationships with his clients by having real skin in the game. This trait is particularly valued by CISOs, who are often under-staffed yet must continuously adapt to the risk of increasingly frequent, impactful, and high-profile cyber- attacks. His empathy makes him an ideal long-term partner. So does his deep expertise in cyber risk, resilience, privacy, capability improvement and regulatory change.

Outside work, David is a keen explorer. He enjoys completely switching off all technology and reconnecting with nature. When he gets back to civilisation, however, he is hugely passionate about emerging technologies, especially Web 3.0. He is involved in DAOs and various Web 3.0 projects.
